To give each dairy farmer the best possible advice, the ruminant team analyses the farm’s fodders. It enables the most suitable source of protein to be accurately determined to balance the ration with the physiological needs of the herd and improve the environmental footprint of production. We are also optimising feed formulation to limit the use of imported soya and the production of enteric gas by cows. To do this, we incorporate plant extracts and essential oils into the feed, which we have tested beforehand and validated in the field on our two pilot dairy farms. Nutritional supplements of plant origin also offer interesting prospects for animal health. For a number of years now, we have been developing these alternatives, which boost animals’ immunity while also having anti-inflammatory properties. Using these natural food supplements stimulates milk production, improves reproductive performance and contributes to the longevity of the animals, while reducing health costs. Making the most of local fodder and demedication are the two priority areas of work for Even Nutrition Animale in the service of livestock farmers and consumers.
